Food museums made for Instagram, not for actual eating, were big in 2018. Experiential events dedicated to ice cream, eggs, and more included giant sculptures and other interactive installations dedicated to their patron food. The “stunty museums” have “little actual eating” but they do have plenty of photo ops and brand activations. For instance, Hidden Valley Ranch backed a pizza-themed museum while the California Avocado Commission was responsible for CADO, the avocado museum. (Eater)
