More young people are tripping on psychedelic drugs than have in decades. The number of 18-24-year-olds who have taken LSD has nearly quadrupled since 2004, rising from 317,000 to 1.31 million last year, according to government statistics. Ketamine, mushrooms, and DMT use are also up, with young people getting creative by vaping the latter. Micro-dosing and medical use of the drugs are making the hallucinogenic substances more mainstream, but many users are just looking for an escape from screens and stress. (Vice)
