Facebook just launched a TikTok copycat app to win over teens. TikTok (which merged with Musical.ly) surged onto our radar in 2016, when it became a teen sensation. Facebook’s Lasso app copies their short lip-syncing videos but adds something only a corporate giant can: a massive library of songs acquired through major licensing deals.
