Teens are creating Instagram accounts that post the same picture every day, and racking up followers.@samepictureofatoaster has posted an identical image of a toaster for 182 consecutive days and has over 50,000 followers, while similar accounts post everything from from kumquats to cows. Why are they so popular? Posting every day games the algorithm to rack up followers fast, but there’s more to it than that: the teens behind the accounts are also forming digital friendships through their Instagram stories and captions.
