The tattoo industry is expected to grow 7.7% annually, thanks to young consumers. Ypulse research shows over 20% of 18-35-year-olds have a tattoo, and more would like to join their ranks: 41% of 13-17-year-olds and 27% of 18-35-year-olds who don’t currently have one are interested in getting one in the future. Not only are more young people getting tattoos, but they’re opting for costly customized ink, further inflating the industry’s revenue. (WSJ)
