Millennials are in the market for eco-friendly cars. A new report from Mintel found that 76% of 24-41-year-olds would consider opting for a hybrid or electric car over 65% overall, noting that “winning over younger consumers, who show the greatest interest in purchasing an alternative energy vehicle, could be a boon for auto manufacturers…” Young drivers are also imagining a more hands-free future, with 37% saying they’d like it to be safe to use social media when driving (12% more than overall car owners).
