The number of voice assistants used in homes will skyrocket 1000% over the next five years, according to Juniper Research. Ypulse found that 22% of 18-35-year-olds own a connected home device like an Amazon Echo or Nest, and if their prediction pans out, the number of devices will jump from 25 million this year to 275 million by 2023. They predict that Amazon will lead the way in selling products to Generation Voice Activated by creating an ecosystem of smart home products and services, and that Google will stay in second place.
