Time spent on mobile could overtake TV by 2019. EMarketer estimates that adults ages 18-and-older spend more time on TV than with any other medium, but in 2019, mobile time will increase to 3 hours and 43 minutes, edging out TV’s 3 hours and 42 minutes. Ypulse’s media consumption tracker suggests that Gen Z is most responsible for driving the trend. However, eMarketer predicts mobile time spent will hit a plateau as more consumers worry about their screen time and digital detoxing gains traction. (eMarketer)
