YouTube is coming after Netflix and Spotify with their new premium offering. YouTube Premium users will have access to original productions like Cobra Kai along with the capabilities of the platform's new service, YouTube Music, which includes ad-free music and downloads. Users also have the option to just use YouTube Music's features for $2 less. Depending on the service’s success, YouTube could invest in more originals and become a formidable foe in the streaming wars—both for music and video. (THR, Recode)
