Millennials’ booming interest in vinyl is bringing another analog product back: the reel-to-reel tape deck. For the first time in over two decades, Ballfinger is reviving the machines. For most of the twentieth century, these devices were the recording medium of choice for musicians until digital swept in as the cheaper alternative. However, artists like Lady Gaga and The Black Keys are using them to record again and audiophiles are showing a rising interest in ditching digital for analog. (Bloomberg)
