Disney’s streaming service could change entertainment as we know it. Their pending acquisition of 21st Century Fox means they’ll own up to 40% of U.S. movies and television, which they can then add exclusively to their service. Netflix may have a hold on Millennials, but Disney is one of the generation’s favorite brands—and the streaming service could leverage their love by integrating merchandise, park vacations, and more into one platform. Oh, and if Disney starts streaming their movie premieres, AMC and Regal won’t get their happy endings either. (The Atlantic)
