Universal is using augmented reality to bring Jurassic Park to life in their new mobile game. Jurassic World Alive (AKA “Pokémon Go with dinosaurs”) will debut in the lead up to the premiere of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Location-based dinosaur scouting, capturing and battling dinosaurs, and the entire in-app aesthetic make it clear Universal is hoping to imitate the Pokémon Go Effect—the one main difference is players can also explore the map using drones.
