Oreo is launching an augmented reality scavenger hunt, following in the footsteps of brands like Nike. Their app will give users daily clues like “What puts hands on your wrist?” They’ll then point their camera at their wrist watch (or whatever the answer to the clue is), and voila! The object-detection technology will reveal an Oreo. Racking up Oreo scans will enter users into different sweepstakes and help them climb social media leaderboards to compete against their friends. “The Great Oreo Cookie Quest” is on. (A List Daily)
