SuperAwesome is rolling out a new program to teach young YouTubers (and their parents) how to make kid-safe content. The company will now require everyone it works with to complete a SafeFam certification program, and they hope that the initiative will catch on outside of their content partners. Twenty prominent YouTube channels have already signed on, like Super Hero Kids and Mia’s Life. SuperAwesome’s CEO calls the move “an investment into YouTube’s overall structure,” which—judging from their adpocalypse—is overdue. (Kidscreen)
