A peek under the curtain of notoriously secretive Snap Inc. reveals data they don’t “want you to see.” The teen-beloved app is being used mainly for chat, with special features like Stories, Maps, and Discover much less popular—according to data reviewed by the Daily Beast. In fact, the typical user is 64% more likely to message friends than to post to their story. Only 11% of users used Snap Maps in an average day in September, while 20% of users overall view Discover content—a major source of revenue that Snap can’t afford to lose. (Daily Beast)
