Millennials think the U.S. and its economy are “off in the wrong direction.” The University of Chicago’s GenForward research found that 65% of 18-34-year-olds don’t think the country is “headed in the right direction” (Ypulse data showssimilar trends), and that percentage surges to 78% among African American Millennials. Despite their lack of faith in America’s economy, most Millennials say that they are optimistic for their own futures.
