Millennials are more likely to buy brands with “social and environmental practices they trust.” Nine in ten are not only more likely to purchase ethical brands but to recommend them to their friends, too. The report is from The Shelton Group, whose founder explains that the average young consumer “want[s] to be seen as someone who buys eco-friendly products.” (Ypulse data found that 40% of 18-35-year-olds also say they’re more likely to buy any product described as eco-friendly.)
