Tiny houses away from the city are offering Millennials an escape from the everyday. Getaway is one company offering the compact campgrounds full of “charcoal-gray box[es] on wheels.” The havens offer a respite from technology with no Wi-Fi and a box for locking up phones for the duration of your stay. Caravan in Portland and Austin’s Tiny Homes Hotel offer similar rentals for Millennials looking to minimize and relax. Despite what HGTV’s Tiny House Hunters may make it seem like, tiny homes are illegal as more than a temporary rental in many areas—and these companies are cashing in. (WP)
