Airbnb is giving its site an AR and VR upgrade. They unveiled plans today to create virtual tours of residences using “360 photos and 3D scans,” and to get creative with augmented reality by letting hosts leave guests virtual notes. The notes could either give directions (a coffee maker with a note on how to use it) or “tell the story behind [hosts’] personal items.” There’s no word yet on when to expect this digital makeover for Generation Wanderlust.
