Over half of Millennials have “little to no understanding” of out-of-pocket healthcare costs, and it’s changing the way the healthcare industry handles their billing—albeit slowly. A new study from TransUnion also found that 74% of Millennials didn’t fully pay their 2016 medical bills when first billed—a 10% jump from 2014. Part of the problem most likely is that most hospitals still bill patients on paper, an antiquated method for the digital generation. (CNBC, Nasdaq)
