Spotify is now selling makeup. Makeup artist Pat McGrath is collaborating with musician Maggie Lindman to release a collection that will be sold alongside Lindman’s latest single on the platform. It’s the first time Spotify has branched out beyond band tees and the like, “open[ing] the door” for more products to make their way onto the platform in the future. Fans can buy the line straight off of Spotify, but the Millennial & Gen Z-loved music platform won’t make any money off the transaction—instead, the change “sweetens the deal for artists.”
