Expedia’s recent Asia-Pacific study found that travel preferences vary by generation—but also by country. Millennials in Australia and China are travelling the most, racking up an average of 35 total vacation days, while young consumers in Japan only took a trip for 12 days annually. The study also found that Chinese Millennials (a coveted demo of consumers) are doing the most shopping on their vacations, setting aside 18% of their total travel budget to shop. All three countries’ Millennials were highly susceptible to travel advertising—good news for brands that want to cash in on their Wanderlust. (Business Wire)
