Instagrammable gifts are topping teens’ holiday wish lists. Sweety High found that 58% of 13-16-year-olds want a gift that will garner shares and likes, more than 17-19-year-olds (29%) and 20-22-year-olds (26%) combined. These younger consumers were also more likely to want something that’s on their wishlist—while older teens are more open to being surprised. (Ypulse knows what’s on both groups’ holiday wishlists anyway.) The survey also showed that Gen Z still likes to shop at brick-and-mortar retail stores: 77% of 13-22-year-olds said they like to shop at the mall compared to 53% who shop online. (But don’t forget how lack of digital financial resources might be impacting their views.) (Adweek)
