Millennials are using Pinterest and Facebook to plan their Halloween costumes. According to Alliance Data, 65% of Millennials look to social media for Halloween outfit inspiration as well as food and décor ideas. Sixty-one percent searched for costume inspo on Pinterest, followed by 51% on Facebook. Even though they’re looking online for ideas, the study also found that 66% plan to peruse a physical store, too. Retailers can expect a boost this year, because outside estimates set overall U.S. spend at a record-setting high.
