Venmo’s move to integrate with e-commerce could make them an even greater force in the rising fintech scene. The peer-to-peer payment app has gotten so “ubiquitous” that they’re “expected to make $40 billion in transactions this year.” We predicted fintech solutions for easier online shopping would shake up how teens spend this year, and this could be a step in that direction—as well as a thorn in the side of Venmo’s bank-backed competitor Zelle.
