Being a “bridechilla” is the next Millennial wedding trend. The term was coined by the Bridechilla Podcast as the antithesis of the Bridezilla, and Millennials have caught on fast. These new “chill” brides-to-be are trying to stay calm, not obsess over unnecessary traditions (like inner envelopes)—and they’re letting companies cater to their needs. Because bridechillin’ doesn’t necessarily mean spending less. In fact, if going the all-inclusive resort route cuts down the to-do-list, why not pay a premium? The shift springs up from a Great Recession mindset against extra frivolities and the fact that those marrying later in life already have plenty on their plate to keep them busy. (MarketWatch)
