Millennials are taking over family wealth and investing in the causes they care about.

Sep 18 2017

Millennials are taking over family wealth and investing in the causes they care about. Millennials are set to inherit up to $59 trillion between now and 2060, the largest ever transfer of wealth between generations, according to the Center on Wealth and Philanthropy at Boston College. They’re twice as likely to invest that wealth in “impact type” returns, and Campden Wealth & UBS found that two-fifths of “family offices” plan to increase their impact investing “in the next decade or so,” thanks to young adults. Social and environmental issues are expected to get a boost, with the most money going towards education, energy and resource efficiency, and environmental conservation. (Fast Company)
