Some Millennials are choosing their wanderlust over home ownership. A survey from Realty Mogul found that 47% of 18-34-year-olds would “rather spend their money on traveling than buying a house.” U.S. Census Bureau data backs up that “rental properties are experiencing a bit of a boom right now,” and 74% of Millennials told Ypulse they would rather spend their money on experiences over things. After all, a house will set Generation Wanderlust back a lot more than a vacation. (CNBC, Uproxx)
