More teens tuned in for the VMAs than for the season finale of Game of Thrones. The two shows shared the same time slot, but the MTV VMAs ran across ten networks to reach its 5.68 million viewers Sunday night, which marked a decline for the fourth year in a row. However, 12-24-year-old viewership rose from last year, and the Post-TV Gen showed their love on social. Case in point: Twitter, where the show “trended globally for 13 hours” and hit number one in the U.S. from 7-11 pm ET. (Variety, Uproxx)
