In just seven short months, “Despacito” has become the most viewed YouTube video of all time. Only weeks ago, the uber-popular Spanish song beat the record for the most-streamed song, and now it has taken the YouTube crown from Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again,” which took it from Psy’s “Gangnam Style” just last month. “Gangnam Style” had held the record since 2012, showing turnover seems to be speeding up “as streaming continues to grow”—so “Despacito” could only hold the title until the next viral hit comes along.
