A new summer camp is teaching kids how to be social media celebrities. SocialStar Creator Camp just had its inaugural summer session in Los Angeles, led by YouTuber Michael Buckley. Kids—many “business minded” young teens—in class range from those who have already gone viral to aspiring actors and singers, and classes teach them how to create posts and build followings. One segment focuses on cyber bullying, teaching ways to protect against “haters” and other internet safety practices. (The Verge)
