Snapchat is taking another big step towards being the new TV. The app signed a $100 million dollar deal with Time Warner this week to bring a slew of new three to five-minute shows to their platform. Snapchat is already partnered up with media giants like ABC and NFL to make shows that definitely aren’t dumbed down for digital, from news segments to SNL sketches, and featuring A-list talent like James Cordon and Peter Hamby. If all goes according to plan, three shows a day will air on Snapchat by the end of 2017. (Jezebel)
