The CDC and anti-smoking groups say the drop is thanks to marketing efforts and added taxes and restrictions on tobacco products, but fear a looming budget cut may slow or stop their progress. However, in a recent Ypulse survey, 13-17-year-olds rated traditional cigarettes worse for overall health than e-cigarettes, which might be why most teen smoking is electronic, rather than combustible.
