Musical.ly is amping up its programming, with plans to produce and air new shows with several partners. The “small” app surged onto our radar in 2016, and has been making fast moves to take up more of tweens’ and teens’ time ever since. Their two to four minute episodes will live in-app for 24 hours only, in a section similar to Snapchat’s Discover. Musical.ly’s first content partner, Sweety High, first found success on sister app, Live.ly, and originals from the likes of NBC and Telemundo are in the works. (Video Ink, The Verge)
