Yeay (pronounced “yay”), the app that lets teens sell their things via video, has raised $4.9 million in seed funding. Ypulse talked to Yeay last year to learn about the Snapchat of shopping, where users create videos customized with filters, writing, and more to sell their products. The platform also taps into teen entrepreneurs by letting them earn money through brand challenges, making it a resource for user generated content. The young demo presents some hurdles, but Yeay’s 100,000 registered users could help it to become Gen Z’s own eBay. (TechCrunch)
