News content is stuck in the stone age compared to other forms of media, but startup Explica hopes to change that. Founded and run by Millennials, the company aims to create “noise cancelling news” that will retain even the smallest attention span by combining different forms of media with traditional text. Current attention-capturing “best practices” include mobile friendly curation, aggregation, listicles, quizzes, native content, and visual stories.
