Millennial investors love Netflix and Snapchat. Notoriously risk-averse and financially insecure, Millennials have been hesitant to take the leap into investing, but trading app Robinhood says their love for tech companies could be changing that. Their younger users are buying into the brands their generation loves to use: those 30-years-old and younger are 30% more likely to buy Netflix stock compared to older generations, and they are doing 1.6 times more buying than selling. Snap’s IPO also drummed up excitement, with the app experiencing a “surge in new accounts, with many new customers opening up their first brokerage account.” (Business Insider
