The state was at the top of the ranking in WalletHub’s recent breakdown of where 20-36-year-olds have “thrived and withered,” which looked at affordability, education and health, quality of life, economic health, and civic engagement. Minnesota, South Dakota, Iowa, and District of Columbia followed as the best places for Millennials to live, while Alabama, Mississippi, and West Virginia were on the bottom of the list, with the latter receiving some of the lowest rankings in terms of quality of life, economic health, and civic engagement.
