At the request of fans, Lego is putting the spotlight on women in the sciences. The brand has announced an upcoming “Women of NASA” set, featuring computer scientist Margaret Hamilton, astronaut Sally Ride, astronomer Nancy Grace Roman, astronaut Mae Jemison, and scientist Katherine Johnson—who was portrayed in the 2016 film Hidden Figures. The set was proposed by science writer and editor Maia Weinstock on fan-created projects site Lego Ideas and drew in 10,000 supporters. (CNET)
