Converse wants to take its classic sneaker to high fashion status. “Forever Chuck” is the brand’s latest campaign to get young consumers wearing Chuck Taylors, which coincides with the release of simple iterations of the shoe like an all-black and all-white version. The campaign plays on the rising streetwear meets fashion trend with a three-part video series, Chuck, From the Runway to the Streets, that features a “clique of Parisian teenage street style stars” speaking about the cultural movements that made the sneaker a classic: film, L.A. hip hop, and fashion.
