Millennials are the most likely age group to watch and create live-streaming videos. A UBS Evidence Lab study has found that 63% of 18-34-year-old internet users in the U.S. have watched live video, compared to 32% of 35-54-year-olds and 12% of 55 and older. As a result, many marketers are turning to live video, but are “not yet sure how or if they’ll be able to monetize it.” According to consulting firms Warc and Deloitte Digital, live videos that focus on engaging and sharable newsworthy events have the greatest potential in the space.
