Despite their different approaches, Netflix and Amazon have found success by retooling classic shows. Recently, Amazon signed a three-year deal to reboot Top Gear into The Grand Tour—changing very little in the structure of the show and bringing back the original, beloved, crew. On the other hand, Netflix has turned Mythbusters: The Search into The White Rabbit Project, changing the focus of the series significantly. However, both shows have kept the original hosts and their chemistry with each other intact, recreating the familiar connection the audience has with them. (The Verge)
