After building an audience over the past year, E! News has figured out how to make money off of Facebook Live. Last month, Freestyle— a series with 30-minute episodes on beauty and fashion—joined the rest of the network’s shows on Facebook, where they have amassed 9.6 million followers. Unlike the other shows, however, Freestyle is sponsored by Ulta Beauty and features some of the retailer’s products and in-store trends. So far, the brand integration has been successful: viewership has risen from 91,000 views its first episode to 160,000 for the most recent one. (Digiday)
