Lands’ End’s attempt to bring in Millennials has faltered. The retail brand has reported a loss of almost $23 million in third quarter sales compared to the same period last year, and says their youth-focused Canvas by Lands' End division is to blame. According to the brand, the fashion-forward line “strayed too far from [their] classic offering and ultimately confused [their] customers.” They plan to scale back the sub-brand, and “focus on sensible sweaters for middle-aged women, not fashionistas.” (MediaPost)
