Millennials are packing their bags and heading toward money and affordable housing. A recent Apartment List analysis on where 18-35-year-olds have moved to in the past decade revealed that metropolitan areas with significant income growth—like Houston, Austin, and Seattle—have seen significant Millennial population growth. In terms of Millennial homeownership rates, metros that have more affordable homes around the Midwest area had the highest growth, while cities like San Francisco, San Jose, NYC, San Diego, and LA, had rates that were 10% lower than the national average.
