Yesterday the app updated their special filters to include “World Lenses,” which add 3D effects to users’ surroundings—like snow fall, flying butterflies, and smiling clouds that puke rainbows. The feature falls under the “mixed reality” realm, which many in the industry believe has “the potential to replace all screens by projecting the digital world onto the real one.” Snapchat’s upcoming camera eyeglasses Spectacles also have the potential to use “AR in a myriad of interesting ways.” (Business Insider)
