A new study is suggesting that Millennials living at home have more to spend on little luxuries. CBRE found that 63% of Asia-Pacific Millennials who live at home “are better able to save for the future as well as spend more money on clothes and entertainment.” Chinese twentysomethings, who are most likely to be living at home due to high property costs, tend to have more discretionary income: U.S. Millennials save about 11% of their income, while their Chinese counterparts save about 20% and spend about 30% on leisure activities, like shopping, eating out, and going to the movies.
