Vice launched their new gaming site Waypoint with live streaming and live ads. Their “72 games in 72 hours” kickoff celebration took place this past weekend on Twitch featuring live broadcasts of gaming and appearances by game developers, gaming reporters, and rapper Chief Keef. Carl’s Jr. sponsored the event, and live sketches featuring their mascot were presented every 60 or 90 minutes, garnering instant, mostly positive feedback. According to the brand, the authenticity and ‘rawness’ of the Vice-created ads was appreciated by the audience. (Adweek)
