U.K. Millennials see employee perks as a standard. Employee gift company Perkbox reports that three-quarters of 18-24-year-old employees in the U.K. say company perks are crucial to their job satisfaction, compared to about half of Boomer employees. According to Deloitte, almost half of Millennial employees are planning to switch jobs over the next two years, so rewarding them is a strategy being used to retain young talent. However, perks are not “one-size-fits-all,” according to one expert: “If money is tight, it can take the form of a simple thank you or a couple of extra paid days leave.” (Bloomberg)
