Young consumers in the U.K.

Young consumers in the U.K. are more financially practical than older generations. A YouGov survey of U.K. adults found that seven in ten 18-34-year-olds believe they manage their finances well, and further data backs up that belief: 85% use a “traditional” bank versus a bank that is not established, compared to 78% 35-54-year-olds and 71% of 55 and older. About 60% of U.K. Millennials are also communicating with their banks at least once a week, more often than older generations, mostly due to the advancement of digital banking technology. (YouGov)
